There’s a new round of Fluid going on and it’s just as hot as this summer’s been.  It’s going until the 14th, so stop by and check out the “Risque” props and poses.  With the subcategories of S&M, Voyeurism & Exhibitionism and Burlesque, it’s sure to make for some steamy nights.

Color is Fluid

The 52 Weeks of Color Challenge fizzled faster than it did last year.  *sigh*  Well, I’m still trying to catch up (slowly) and this is my Pueblo.  Yes, there’s actually some pueblo in there!  It’s in the middle part of the ombre on my RezIpsa Loc tights.  Really!

A last minute reminder for those of you out there who haven’t made it yet:  The first round of Fluid is still going on!  You’ve only got two more days to get over there, though!  This pose is from Pekka’s sweet little Eva pack and I just love it.  It helps look Chloe look at least a little embarrassed about this color debacle.

Life is Fluid

It’s time!  Fluid is a few hours into its first rotation!  Visit the website, swing by the sim, do some shopping at the pose and prop – centric, two week event.  The summer themed items are SO cute.  The creators have really outdone themselves!

Chloe sneaked into the fortune teller’s chair from Cleo Designs to see if she could tell what’s to come in our lives.  I hope the cards had something good in store for her, ’cause my tea leaves weren’t all that promising!

There are dunk tanks, group poses, couples poses, sea creatures, carousels and more at Fluid for the next two weeks.  After that, the new rotation and new fun will begin.

The Sky is Falling!

Nah, I guess it’s not really falling, is it?  But it sure feels like it sometimes!  Things are crazy here- some good, some not so good.  What’s falling on me right now?  Prep work for my new teaching job!  So yay for that, but like all teaching gigs, the unpaid prep hours tend to get lengthy.  The result?  A sadface and much less time with my peeps on Plurk and inworld.

However, I still have my little feelers out there in SL-land, so I have a couple of things to tell you about.
The Mesh Around hunt is almost over!  You’ve got a couple more days to go and get all the meshy goodies.  (Oh!  And on the mesh note, I have made a couple of tweaks to my shape after reading some blog posts and tutorials and am much happier with how things are fitting.)
As Mesh Around wraps up, Fluid begins!  Fluid is a pose and prop centric, theme-based event that cycles on two-week rotations.  So, what that means is that we have 12 designers creating around a theme (this rotation is Summer Fun) and their items will be available at Fluid for their two week period.  So expect to find some great beach, amusement park and picnic poses, props, animations and furniture at this rotation, which begins June 15th and runs until June 30th.  I’m using one of the cute hula poses from Bent as part of my drama llama, Chicken Little pic.

The Ego Co.

Have you guys heard about The Ego Co. yet?  They are an event management and organization group in SL who plan to bring some fresh events to the Second Life community.  June is going to be a really big month for the team as they have two great events coming up.

The first is Mesh Around 2012.  Mesh Around is a grid-wide hunt featuring, you guessed it, mesh designs from a long list of creators.  This hunt will be active from June 1st until June 15th.

As soon as that wraps up, Fluid will run for the rest of the month.  Fluid is a bi-weekly, themed event that will feature poses, props and furniture.  It will be a great balance to the many events that highlight mainly clothing.

Be sure to keep your fingers on the pixel pulse (I’m so clever, aren’t I?) and watch for updates on these and more events coming from The Ego Co.!
