Summer Harvest Hunt

Hi folks!  Trying to get my blog on with a quickie post about The Ego Co.’s latest hunt, the Summer Harvest Hunt.  The hunt runs from September 1 – 21 and features items that hope to invoke a feeling of cooler, lazy days before autumn ushers in the crisp bite of the winter months.  The poses, pants and jewelry are all hunt gifts.

The Sky is Falling!

Nah, I guess it’s not really falling, is it?  But it sure feels like it sometimes!  Things are crazy here- some good, some not so good.  What’s falling on me right now?  Prep work for my new teaching job!  So yay for that, but like all teaching gigs, the unpaid prep hours tend to get lengthy.  The result?  A sadface and much less time with my peeps on Plurk and inworld.

However, I still have my little feelers out there in SL-land, so I have a couple of things to tell you about.
The Mesh Around hunt is almost over!  You’ve got a couple more days to go and get all the meshy goodies.  (Oh!  And on the mesh note, I have made a couple of tweaks to my shape after reading some blog posts and tutorials and am much happier with how things are fitting.)
As Mesh Around wraps up, Fluid begins!  Fluid is a pose and prop centric, theme-based event that cycles on two-week rotations.  So, what that means is that we have 12 designers creating around a theme (this rotation is Summer Fun) and their items will be available at Fluid for their two week period.  So expect to find some great beach, amusement park and picnic poses, props, animations and furniture at this rotation, which begins June 15th and runs until June 30th.  I’m using one of the cute hula poses from Bent as part of my drama llama, Chicken Little pic.

Mesh Around – A Hunt!

The Mesh Around hunt starts in only two days!  The Ego Co. mesh-centric event will run from June 1st to June 15 and it will impress you with the long list of both old and new participating designers.  You’ll be looking for an item that looks like this:

Happy Easter

I hope each and every one of you is having a wonderful holiday weekend.  Celebrating, non-celebrating, religious, non-religious, whatever, enjoy the weekend, enjoy your families, hell, enjoy yourself.  It’s cliche, but it’s true:  You never know what tomorrow holds so be thankful for what you have today and enjoy it to the fullest.  And if you don’t have what you want today, figure out how to get it and make it happen.  After all, you don’t want to have unfinished business and end up a zombie like you-know-who.

And hey, any advice would be welcome here.  I’m trying to get some perspective and show how tiny my av is, but I’m not quite capturing it, am I?  Any suggestions?

Fresh and Unknown

I found this sweet, fresh little mesh dress from Sugar when I stumbled upon the Depraved Nation Gatcha Fair.  Chloe and my alt both got rare dresses!  Woot!  It’s going on until the 17th, so be sure you get down there and pick up some great deals.

Also going on this month is the Fresh Unknown Hunt.  It’s been a while since my first post about it, so I’ll remind you about the concept:  The hunt is filled with gifts from newer designers and creators.  These stores have been open for less than 5 months, so expect to find some great new favorite creators as you’re hunting!  This cute skybox is from dirty.little.secret and I’m absolutely in love with the feathery touches throughout the design.  The hunt runs all month, so you’ve got a few more weeks to get out there.  Happy hunting!
